Documents stolen

Indarsingh said that he parked his car and went to shop in the borough. On returning he found the car’s back glass smashed and two bags containing “important papers were missing.”

He reported the incident to the Chaguanas Police and said that he was told that the Police “lacked manpower resources and relevant surveillance equipment.” As a result, they were helpless in their attempts to prevent car robberies in the borough by an organised gang.

Indarsingh said that only last week a Crime Watch Hotline was established in the Borough, but said he saw this as a political move.

Indarsingh has appealed to the person who smashed his car glass to return the documents, which he said dealt with “the livelihood of people in this part of the country.”
