Punto A Punto steps into ‘Allowance’ reckoning

This nine-year-old grey horse looked very lively in a 400 metres gallop at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, yesterday morning, which was timed in a smart 24.43 seconds. And newcomers Ready Royal and The One And Only also showed form in separate gallops over the same distance.

Ready Royal was clocked in 25.73 seconds for the run, while The One And Only was given a clocking of 25.91 seconds.

Greek Princess continues to sharpen up for the “big one” — the Royal Oak Derby next month. The filly had a very handy gallop over 600 metres posting a time of 40.34 seconds. And All Royalty who is engaged in the Sagicor Retirement Saver sprint over 1200 metres, was very handy in his run over 600 metres in 41.92 seconds. Despite several horses seen on the track yesterday morning, most did mainly pace work ahead of tomorrow’s 10-race Sagicor Independence Day programme.
