Jack and company like Iraq information minister

As the Americans moved further and eventually took control of the Iraqi Airport, again the information minister was saying that the Iraqi Government was still in control.

I’m sure we would all remember the image of the Baghdad Airport being fully taken over by the Americans while the information minister was smiling saying that the Iraqi government still controlled the airport. Unless I am mistaken, the last statement he issued stated that the Iraqi government was defeating the Americans, mere moments before he disappeared. Here in Trinidad and Tobago, listening to the Sorrowful Sixsome talk from their leadership council, I am reminded of the way despots can convince themselves of anything and create whatever reality they want. Even as the UNC crumbles around them, they are insisting that a Dookeranless UNC can win the next election.
