New president takes throttle

Election of officers took place on October 5.

“While Offshore Power boating has seen its share of hurdles over the past few years, it’s imperative that we continue to work harder and smarter in an effort to accelerate further growth and accommodate the demands of a harder-to-please spectator,” said Bell.

“The outgoing president, Jean Stampfli has done a tremendous job and I look forward to working with the TTPBA Board in driving the industry to fulfill and exceed on its promise and expectations,” the new president said. Bell believes the new TTPBA Executive Committee has the skills and drive to build on a solid foundation.

He is confident the new executive can deliver exciting and safe events while taking the momentum into 2007 and also realise the TTPBA’S vision.

The new Executive Committee will serve a two year term and consists of: President— Alfred Bell; Vice president— Brian Branker; Treasurer — Mark Robinson; Secretary — Richard Ramdwar; Safety Officer — Damian de Gannes.

Board Members are Allan Harris, Brent Lee, Darin Marshall, Garth Marshall and Richard Phillips.
