Madame Justice Carol Gobin ordered that Seebaran Santokhie, of the Siparia Regional Corporation, complete and file a declaration of his income, assets and liabilities in respect of the year 2004, as well as a statement of registrable interests for the same year, within 28 days of being served with the court order.

Justice Gregory Smith granted the other three orders. He ordered that Fitzroy Ottley, of the Mayaro/Rio Claro Regional Corporation, Kennedy Richards, of the Point Fortin Municipal Corporation, and Marion Norton, of the San Fernando City Corporation file their returns for 2004 within 28 days of receipt of the order.

The four public officials were also ordered to pay a total of $3,000 costs to the Commission. The four officials were informed that under section 11(8) of the Integrity in Public Life Act, if they fail to comply with the directions of the court, they can be charged and will be liable to a $150,000 fine if convicted.

They were also informed that they can apply to the court within seven days of the receipt of the document to set aside the orders.

Attorney Stuart Young appeared for the Commission.
