La Fillette parents to take ‘teachers roll’

“If dissatisfied with teacher attendance or the quality of schoolwork, the parents have been advised to send detailed reports to the School Principal and the School Supervisor,” the ministry said in a release.

This advice was given at a meeting at the ministry on Tuesday between the team appointed by Education Minister Hazel Manning and the Parent Teachers Association.

The discussion focused on construction of a primary school in La Fillette, temporary housing for standards four and five students at the Blanchisseuse High School, pre-school student intake for the September term and the shortage of teachers.

Another meeting will take place tomorrow to continue discussions on these and other issues.
