According to Kalifa Figaro of the organising committee, this pageant has emerged, through the years, as the one that shapes up to the original beauty pageant concept

“There are no fancy attempts here to further over-burden the industry where beautiful women simply want to express themselves in a mutual contest based purely on the sheer force of their beautiful face, figure, and overall attractiveness,” she said.

The South-based representative Daisy Seenath told Newsday the competition will not have a spot quiz as it will focus totally on a perfect face and figure.

“The ‘Face and Figure’ pageant is looking for contestants who carry the perfect figure with a complementing face,” Seenath said. The pageant can be described as simply fun, adventure glamoruosly without the hassle of contrived sophistication, she added.
