Republic rolls with Euromoney Forum
Republic Bank is once again one of the lead sponsors of the Euromoney/Latin Finance Caribbean Investment Forum, which will be held at the Trinidad Hilton on April 4 and 5. This is the second consecutive year that the Euromoney Forum is being held in Trinidad and also the second year that Republic Bank is co-sponsoring the event. This year’s conference entitled “Investing in a Connected Future” has as one of the main objectives a closer look at changes in the Caribbean since the first Caribbean investment Forum was held in Jamaica in 2001. Also on the agenda are discussions and seminars aimed at building awareness of the Caribbean as an economic entity distinct from the USA, Latin America and Central America.
There will also be a focus on sub-regions such as the OECS, as well as an intense focus on the relationship between trade, finance and investment. David Dulal-Whiteway, managing direc-tor designate, Republic Bank, will speak on the Caribbean Leaders Forum entitled “Banks, Corporations and Capital Markets: Shall We Three Meet?” which will address companies’ perception that bankers are too risk averse and that their rates are too high. The Euromoney/Latin Finance Caribbean Invest-ment Forum is seen as the leading investment and financial conference and premier networking opportunity for the Caribbean.
