Too short a notice for holiday
The Editor: I am now convinced that Mr Manning has absloutely no concern for the people of TT. I rejoice even more than him in respect of our football victory. I congratulate the Soca Warriors, they have brought glory to our country, and pleasure in the hearts of every citizen. I agree that there should be a public holiday, but Mr Manning, you can’t get up at 6 pm or 7 pm and declare a public holiday for the following day. You have disrupted the entire economy, and all our businessmen and professionals would have lost millions of dollars, while half of the people do not know whether it is a holiday or not. Surely, it would have been more sensible to give the holiday on Friday or on Monday, so that people could have enjoyed a long weekend and sometime to plan their businesses.
