Holiday at the wrong time
THE EDITOR: While we are ultra happy about the "Soca Warriors" victory and that a holiday would have been appropriate to celebrate the victory to Germany — the Thursday November 16 holiday was ill-timed, and anachronistic. If the Government had given any thought to its organisational and planning skill as businessmen/women do, the PM would have known that the holiday would disrupt thousands of businessmen plans for Thursday and get them disorganised resulting in their having to re-plan their business activities. A more ideal day would have been Friday November 18. 90 percent of sporting enthusiasts would have had the weekend for themselves. Do you know Mr Prime Minister, how many thousands of men and women did not attend or went to work on Friday 18? Mr Prime Minister, please don’t allow your emotions to take control of your thinking capacity in a similar situation the next time around. HARRY P T CHARLIE Princes Town
