Treating Mary badly

THE EDITOR: If the latest statue of the Virgin Mary to weep what looks like tears of blood in Sacramento, California, were in Trinidad and Tobago, the authorities would have (1) covered it over: (2) placed it off limits: or (3) removed it and hidden it.

Here in beloved TT, we have a statue of Our Lady of Lourdes with genuine blood on her face, and the authorities keep it locked away, and suppressed. The one in California is left open to inspection and veneration, like others around the globe.

What do certain higher-ups in TT have against Mary?
