THE EDITOR: I read your article re: blood transfusion on premature infant. This article was well written. I was able to follow this story even though it was breaking news a few days ago. I have read other newspaper reports about this same story and important information such as age of the infant was left out. As a practising professional in the field of obstetrics the inclusion of that information made it easier to follow exactly what dilemma the medical professionals and the parents are facing.
