Carry on Gillian

THE EDITOR: Having regard to the recent statement of a senior politician as reported in the media where he accused Gillian Lucky of attempting to destroy the UNC, I am indeed wondering in what planet is he living. Is he really so blind as not to see that another senior politician already has done the job. There is hardly anything anyone can further do to destroy the UNC. Gillian has always maintained the highest tradition in the conduct of her profession and in support of that view I refer to the Legal Profession Act which provides as follows:

3rd Sch Part A — Code of Ethics, para 8
“An Attorney-at-Law shall defend the interest of his client without fear of judicial disfavour or public unpopularity and without regard to any unpleasant consequences to himself or to any other person.” In my view, one of the greatest compliments that can be given to any Attorney-at-Law is when the opposite side seeks to engage his services. Carry on Gillian, there are many who support you!
