Joy to see moms with their children
THE EDITOR: Newsday please allow me a space in the #1 newspaper around to congratulate Junior Minister Fitzgerald Hinds and Prison Commissioner Mr John Rougier on their vision and positiveness. After reading the Sunday Newsday dated January 1, 2006 and seeing mothers who are incarcerated being able to hug and kiss their children whom they have not seen in months or years was very emotional. It also brought tears to my eyes knowing how kids are, their mother not being there for them to hold and comfort them. So I am taking this opportunity to educate parents — mothers and fathers to always be there for their children, no matter what, because children are a joy and a blessing. MIGUEL JACOB Arouca
