No tears for killers
THE EDITOR: Some people cry out and plead for the lives of killers who are condemned to be hanged. I look for tears and sympathy for the victims, but there are none. What a sad time for innocent, harmless people, who were forced to leave earth in a heinous manner, even though some who saw death coming, begged and begged for their lives. I wonder? What was the state of their souls? As I understand, from school days, when you take a life in this manner you lose two created gifts: your physical body to the Government and your soul to the devil. Now I have never been taught that this soul, in this state, can be taken from the devil. If this can happen then it is logical to assume that Hell does not exist or it exists for the chosen few. What about those victims, did they have them to repent? Where did their souls go, at such short notice? Then what is the point of praying and begging for these killers when they personally gave their souls to the devil and their bodies to the Government, will those who are against hanging call this war?
