THE EDITOR: It is a terrible thing when big money and politics find themselves mixed up with sports. But that is the sad case of the national football team as the Soca Warriors prepare for their bid for World Cup 2006 in Germany.

It is true that the country is and should be grateful to Mr Jack Warner for his many years of dedicated service to TT football. But, should that gratitude extend to him and his family having exclusive rights to profit from the country’s World Cup 2006 soccer experience.
