Missing the mark
THE EDITOR: It is indeed amazing that the Chairman of the UNC, Mr Wade Mark can consistently make such grave “mistakes” to the public and still expect people to believe anything he says. Sometime ago, Mr Mark said that the Inter Island vessel to Tobago was unfit to transport passengers and was uninsured. This statement proved to be utterly false, as the Port Authority produced Certificates of In-surance and Seaworthiness of all its vessels transporting passengers to and from Tobago. Now recently, he told the Parliament that the National Lotteries Control Board spent US$75,000,000 on an investigator involving former members of the Board. This statement by Mr Mark also proved to be incorrect, as the correct figure was a mere US$270,000. He must verify his information before announcing it in public.
