WASA giving pressure not water
THE EDITOR: I am writing you to highlight the plight of the residents of Cedar Hill Village, Princes Town who have been suffering at the merciless hands of WASA for nearly two months now. The last time we got a pipe-borne supply was November 14, 2005. We are forced now to on a weekly basis beg WASA via 662-WASA for a truck-borne supply. The heartless people at WASA have spoilt our Christmas and New Year’s. And there appears to be no relief to this hardship that we are forced to endure.
I have called and visited WASA making representation on behalf of myself and my neighbours but to no avail. Incompetence, lack of action and a general malaise, indicative of many government institutions, pervade the air at WASA’s South offices. Hence, I implore you to publish this piece so that the “powers that be” at WASA may become aware.
