Dug up pavement causing concern
THE EDITOR: About two months ago at the intersection of Ariapita Avenue and Ana Street, Woodbrook the pavement on the north side had been dug up to do improved works at the site. Residents, city workers, school children and passersby have no option or a choice to walk on the dug up area or to walk on the road. After about one month, work stopped. Since the work has been stopped, nothing has been done to the dug up area, it remains as is. Residents and non-residents have to use this busy intersection on the north side of the avenue. There is a mini grocery which services the needs of the residents daily, next to the grocery is a fast food chain outlet, on the affected side of the pavement is a retail toy store and a make-shift walkway has been installed in front of the toy store, so workers have to endure this daily Monday to Saturday (the south side). Residents and non-residents have to put up with the inconvenience. KEN SMITH Woodbrook
