Santa Flora police not doing their job
THE EDITOR: Please permit me a space in your newspaper to pledge my dissatisfaction with the police system in this country. Last year December, the first Friday in the month while I was on my job site, my house was broken into and items were stolen. I made a report to the Santa Flora police station that same night when I returned from work. An officer came and investigated and he told me if I heard anything about the items to report it to the station and they would arrest the suspect. I found out who did it and every day I am going to the station for the police officers to do something about it and they are constantly telling me to go back home, the station would send an officer. What I will like the Prime Minister Patrick Manning, the National Security Minister Martin Joseph and the Police Commissioner to do is quit their jobs and let the bandits, murderers and kidnappers run the country because nobody is doing anything to stop crime. I am a young man who is going to work every day, trying to make a living for myself and to be happy and proud of my labour, while somebody else breaks into my home and steals what I have worked hard for and the police is not doing nothing about it. I live at Rancho Quemado, Palo Seco and the police station (Santa Flora) is five kilometres from where I live. That is ten minutes drive from the station. Please, I would like the Government and the Santa Flora Police Station to do something about this situation because I worked for my things and have receipts to show for every item which was stolen. It’s time to take back our country from the criminals, even if we have to start with one person at a time. BEVON XAVIER Palo Seco
