This noise must stop

The Editor: It is very un-neighbourly of one of "our neighbours" aka Queen’s Park Cricket Club to continue to host noisy events, which cause great distress to our hearing, to the environment, and continues to perpetuate the Carnival mentality with which we live on a daily basis, and, we wonder why our people are as they are, indisciplined.

The patrons always park indiscriminately on the roads and pavements or sidewalks, they are also known to urinate on or against the walls, leaving undesirable scents.

As for the noise pollution, it is unbearable and the EMA office just sends out notices and does nothing. The Soca Monarch show is the worst. I support my culture 100 percent but not to the detriment of my health and the environment. I like my peace and quiet. The noise is reminiscent of disturbed people trying to make music.

For the past ten years that we have been living here on Broome Street, the EMA has allowed different persons to host different events at QPC, including cricket, and has allowed these persons to park at King George V Park. Is there any valid reason to use this park? Please check your dictionary. A park is not for parking one’s vehicles...but solely for leisure of the physical kind...not including rape.

Is the EMA such an uncaring authority which displays blatant disregard for the environs and its residents?

Can I claim for damages to my home, to my sanity and to the environment?
