Copper thief electrocuted

Dead is Bhim Gangaram of Wilson Road. According to a police report, the man’s body was discovered by Petrotrin estate police while they were patrolling the area near his home. According to a report, Gangaram’s body was found next to an electrical pole. A pair of pliers was also discovered on the ground.

Police investigators suspect he was electrocuted while he attempted to steal copper wire lodged in cables attached to the TTEC pole. Gangaram’s body was identified by his mother, Sookhanie, who told police her son went missing two days ago.

Yesterday, Petrotrin corporate communications manager Arnold Corneal issued a press release on the death in which he stated Gangaram had unlawfully entered the company’s facilities on previous occasions.
