Youth Fest on Carnival Saturday

Since its inception seven years ago, the Youth Fest has served as a major platform from which were launched the successful careers of a number of today’s top young soca acts including 3Suns, Bunji Garlin, Benjai, Fayann Lyons, Destra and Maximus Dan. Tribute will be paid to these artistes at this edition of the event.

Youth Fest 2008 will feature performances by seven soca bands, as well as some of the top solo acts of the day. These will be joined by a host of up and coming young artistes, rising DJs, sound systems and new acts that will make their debut on the massive stage before an audience of thousands.

The event is being produced by Randy Glasgow Productions, who had initially decided that in light of the short season and other challenges that they would not present the Youth Fest this year. However, because of appeals from young artistes and fans of the event, the promoters decided that the show had to go on.
