Broadway musical Aida at Queen’s Hall

After five successful musicals such as Fiddler on the Roof, Oliver!, The Sound of Music, and last year’s Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Must Come See Productions is proud to present its 6th full length musical, whose team of professionals include Louis McWillliams as artistic director, Jessel Murray will conduct the National Sinfonia “Rock” Orchestra, while award winning costume designer Paulette Alfred-Guy-James and Cacique award winner Adele Bynoe rounds out the production team as choreographer.

Aida, with a score by Elton John and lyrics by Tim Rice, is a contemporary twist on the opera of the same name by Italian composer Giuseppi Verdi.

Aida features singles which topped the music charts in the United States and has been performed by the likes of Elton John, Sting and Trinidad and Tobago’s Heather Headley.

Magically transporting us from the Egyptian wing of a modern museum to the dunes of ancient Egypt, Aida centres on the emotional struggle of Nubian Princess Aida who is captured and enslaved during an Egyptian raid. In becoming a trusted confidant of the Egyptian Princess Amneris, Aida catches the eye of Amneris’ fianc?, the warrior Radames. When Aida’s father is captured, she is torn… she must make a choice… between loyalty to her country and that to her heart.

Come share this musical with family and friends where ‘every story is a love story’ and ‘fortune favours the brave’. Tickets are priced at $150 general seating and are available at Queen’s Hall Box Office, Crosby’s North and South and the Department of Creative and Festival Arts (DCFA).
