Well done, maestro Sachin Tendulkar

SRT is truly a sportsman who played the gentleman’s game with dignity ad decorum. His personal hunger for scoring runs has kept him up there with the best of the best, never one to involved himself in conflict and acrimony and always well disciplined with a smile on his face. A true role model for all. Finally the milestone has been achieved after all the conjecture, speculations, conspiracy theories and hogwash written about him. Look at it this way “Sacho”, you have had them in business with their ill prophesies and doomsday forecasts. Please don’t let them devalue your 100th century by claiming it was against Bangladesh. These comments are only made by non-believers, non cricketers, once a year supporters, 20/20 masqueraders. Of the 49 ODI centuries he made, India won 34 lost 14 and tied one.

If that record isn’t good enough then nothing else will be. Better yet show me one that is better. Only a cricketer who has played over a period of time will understand the real magnitude of this accomplishment. For those who can remember SRT would have had his 100 hundred in England last year when he was given out LBW on 92 to a ball 3/4 of an inch outside the leg stump. Unfortunately India did not use the DRS system. Sachin you have been an inspiration and personal beacon of hope to me, “Uncle Les” (Lester Armorgam from Trinidad and Tobago) and many other die hard genuine cricket fans in TT and around the globe.

The howling monkeys are off your back and the panting dribbling hounds are back in their kennels, for now.
