Duped with procurement promises

THE EDITOR: For almost two decades FFOS have lobbied for procurement legislation, and every election we are duped with promises, and then after the election the Procurement Bill is left to gather cobweb while the Opposition, whoever lays silently in waiting, sits comfortably awaiting its turn at the prospect of a feeding frenzy…and oh boy, have we seen gluttonous frenzies.

We are not surprised that after spending over $200 billion in four years this Government now, on the eve of the 2015 general election are creating fanfare with the same promise which we have heard ad nauseam.

The Minister of Planning, must be commended for his efforts, but should be mindful that there are many who prefer the status quo and will silently undermine his altruistic efforts.
