UWI staffer on UN team to draft global report

I hope that the report will provide solutions to help the countries of the world achieve the sustainable development goals.” Before demitting office in 2016, former Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon appointed Smith and 14 others to draft the report which is due for publication in 2019.

The group was appointed after UN Member States requested the formation of an independent team to draft the report, and will continue through to the high-level political forum on sustainable development in the fall of 2019, where its report will be considered as part of the global review of progress on the 2030 Agenda.
