Crime situation sends Londoner running
THE EDITOR: I stayed in Trinidad for one month last year with my Trinidad-born wife and fell in love with Trinidad. I was going to retire and live there this year, but owing to the escalating murder and crime now I won’t be going. Many English people read the same news and it’s not good PR for Trinidad. The majority of people are so friendly but a few are giving the place a bad name. I would not want to live in fear of being held for ransom or worse. I think the Government should use all their powers and funds to crack down on crime. You are one of the richest islands in the area, money should not be a problem, also something should be done about the state of the roads, especially in the south. ANTHONY WILDING London
