Pastor wants BMW

THE EDITOR: Thursday October 27 at 2.10 pm, I was listening to a radio station and heard a pastor saying "You must wait on God for everything." Exemplary advice but then he quotes as an example the following: A friend of his who is himself a Pastor and has a congregation of 200 tells him he wants to buy a BMW. He advises his friend to wait until he has 500 members before he buys the BMW.

As a Christian, my question is: Is this A confirmation of what is going on in the Body of Christ? Does 500 members qualify the purchase of a BMW and not 200?

I would have thought that the tithes and offerings would go to helping the poor and needy and not in purchasing a BMW.

I don’t know who this pastor is, as I did not hear his name given on the air. I am positive, however, that the members in his friend’s church are from the lower income bracket. Don’t you think that these people, like myself, are exploited enough? I hope your friend buys a Black BMW — that would be for all of us exploited people, an appropriate colour. I will continue praying for you all.
