Public MP’s phone numbers
THE EDITOR: You should do a public service by publishing the business e-mail address and office telephone numbers of all elected members of parliament (Independent, PNM and UNC Senators are appointed folks too) and all heads of government agencies/boards (WASA, TTEC, NEMA, mayors, Regional Corp Heads, the CoP and Fire Chief, etc). Anybody who is anybody and who holds a position of influence in the public or political service should have their information published. I believe that the public good would be served by your providing this information (in one central location) for people to be able to contact their representatives and others in the service of the people. I don’t know of any impediment in law that would prevent you from publishing this information. So, if there is none, publish the listing. I believe that it is only with pressure from the people that these representatives and the "rest of the boys and gals" can and would be held accountable to the people for not doing their jobs. And through their pressure, they will get others down the feeding chain to do theirs; thereby sowing the seeds for much needed changes in work and the accountability attitudes of people in greater society.
