A boat in every house
THE EDITOR: Now is the time for the carpenters and joiners also boatmen in our country to "make a killing," by making boats. It is time for the people of Mamoral and Caparo also some parts of Caroni make every effort to have a small boat in their yards or under their houses. Please, I am not being ludicrous. The people who live in New Jersey in the USA in the areas that are prone to flooding whenever it rains all have boats, at least most of them, that is. The more affluent among them have engines on their boats. People of Caparo and environs, please endeavour to get a small boat so that you can get to work and your children to school. The flooding will not stop. Don’t wait for business men to make the boats for rental purposes as you may not be able to get one when the time comes. THOMAS METCAFFE Pt Fortin
