Clean prison officers’ minds
THE EDITOR: Recently, the Commissioner of Prisons referred to the building of a new Mess for his senior officers, but there’s mess and mess. In his attempt to clean up the mess that’s the Prison Service, I hope he thinks about getting all of his prison officers cleaned too, by making it compulsory that they all get counselling annually, whether they think they need it or not. The spouses/parents of the prison officers should know when this counselling will be done, so the former can indicate to the counsellors the problems they have, if any, with said prison officers.
