Insulting to spell Christmas with an ‘X’

THE EDITOR: At a recent talk show on a Radio Station it was stated that the reason for spelling Christmas with an X is because in Greek Christmas is spelt with an X, but we in TT speak English, hence everyone must spell Christmas with Christ in it, otherwise we will be leaving Christ out of Christmas.

I would like those people who spell Christmas with an X to find out how they spell Buddha, Mohammed, Sai Baba and Hari Krishna in Greek and spell their names in Greek also, and see whether it will be accepted by their followers. Christians must refuse to accept the spelling of Christmas with an X and refuse to do business with anyone or any place that insists on spelling Christmas with an X as this is an insult to Christmas, as such people are attempting to leave Christ out of Christmas deliberately.

It is time that Christians make a stand, and put a stop to this insulting practice.
