Wrong information at Inland Revenue Department
THE EDITOR: May I kindly use your medium to tell the public how we can sometimes get the incorrect information from government departments. Is it because we are in the festive season, some government workers are only finding themselves on the job? For example, I sent my senior clerk to Inland Revenue Department, San Fernando requesting copies or duplicate VAT 101 forms for one of my clients. To my great consternation my clerk was told that the typist was absent and she would be there on another day. Since when VAT forms are typed by a typist? VAT 101 forms are printed by Business Printers Limited. The name of the Printery is Business Printers Limited. It is printed two places to the middle left of the form. What misleading information my clerk was given! Now who is accountable for this false information? HARRY P T CHARLIE Princes Town
