Take, Mr manning, take

THE EDITOR: I am moved to state my mind regarding Prime Minister Manning’s on-going "take-it-all" mentality in light of the recent move made by him to acquire President’s Grounds.

The PM should just go ahead and take it all, really. Don’t care what the electors say or how much they may demonstrate in their myriad areas for better quality infrastructure overall. Just plough on take it all! Leave them bereft of hope and future! It is yours! Yours and Udecott. Listen to how that business name sounds like "undercut."

Since you have first lien on any national object, entity or utility, ie land, road, house, community, centre, stand-pipe, lamp post, farm land, Crown/State land, boundary, race course, river course, sea coast, bridge, playground, housing development, outhouse, I see no reason why you should leave anything as is, where is, or even whose, for posterity. An American saying: "If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!" A Trini dictum: "If it ent nail dong, take it!" All to you, Mr Prime Minister.
