Oh, Mr Maharaj

THE EDITOR: My indomitable and indefatigable leader Mr Ramesh Lawerence Maharaj disappointed me when he took a decision to re-appear on the UNC’s platform on Sunday February 19 at Mid Centre Mall, Chaguanas. Prior to his appearance and even before his name was advertised in the media, rumours were that Mr Maharaj was going back to the UNC. When friends and supporters asked me if that were so, I stoutly said No! because we have support and we are gaining. We will have to broker a deal with UNC. 

To my great astonishment and bewilderment, Mr Maharaj has hibernated and isolated his loyal, faithful and dedicated supporters. Has he done so because of self-centered interest or self-aggrandisement, or has Mr Maharaj been outfoxed and outwitted by a leader who is famous for biting, chewing, and then spitting out representatives who wish to challenge him? If that is the case, my political prognostication is that the UNC will not win the next election.
