Keep Fresh Prospect on the right side

The Harriram "Pepsi" Gobin-trained bay colt livened up another otherwise dull morning at gallops yesterday, flashing over 400 metres in 24.33 seconds.

Bluff Bid, third in the Guardian Life St James Stakes continues to show great improvement in a handy gallop together with Third Time Lucky and Dusk Till Dawn, stopping the clock at 37.60 seconds.

Newcomers Patriotic Pride and Plan Of Action galloped together over 1000 metres in a handy one minute 09.16 seconds.

Gonzaga also continues to show improvement, coming out of the boxes together with Centurion, Rhythm Of Life and Windjammer, the quartet returning a time of 26.69 seconds for a 400 metres outing.

Magic Moments, runner-up to Fresh Prospect last time out looked very lively while pacing 1200 metres together with Run Manie Run in one minute 21.45 seconds.

Another to enjoy his morning out was Indian Izzi, as Russell Ramsammy’s American-bred three-year-old was very keen on the track before cruising to a 44.09 timing for a 600 metres gallop.

Also looking full of himself was the Jamaican-bred Uram who had a comfortable spin in 44.58 seconds.

Trainers still opted for pace work with most of their charges yesterday morning, but some fireworks are expected over the weekend as they sharpen up their runners for the "Stars Of Santa Rosa" race day, on January 28.
