Keep standards up TTPost

I nevertheless wish to make some comments on my observations at a TTPost outlet in St Augustine which I visited at about 8.50 am on Thursday January 6.

While the business opened at 8 am, I learnt that the opening hours for the post office are from 9 am to 5 pm. I thought of waiting until the PO clerk arrived, but my discreet inquiries hinted that the clerk was more often late, than punctual.

TTPost licenses franchisees and are able to prescribe the standard of service at these outlets, whether groceries, pharmacies, or other.

The opening time for most business outlets is 8 am, and at some groceries 7.30 am or earlier; but the opening time is generally determined by the traffic level of the particular store. Why should the PO hours be different? Should not the PO opening hours be determined by the store traffic to suit the public?
