Valentino comes to ‘Lunch With Waaz’

Hosein has been promoting, co-ordinating and producing events in Trinidad and Tobago for decades and in support of the fund-raising venture, “Lunch With Waaz”, the artistes have all come together to give back the Hosein, as he continues to recuperate from his surgeries.

Among the other artistes on the playlist are the St James Tripolians, Arthur Marcial, Lord Relator (Willard Harris), Kenny J (Kenny Joseph), KV Charles, David Baptiste and Friends, Harvard Harps, Luta (Morel Peters), Funny (Donrick Williamson) and Cardinal (Elan Baghoo). Music will be provided by DJ Small Boxx.

Hosein suffered a minor stroke on May 30, 2010 while visiting his son, Saleem Kaaz Hosein in New York. Warded in the Intensive Care Unit at Lutheron Medical Sciences Centre he was forced to undergo several tests and scans to determine the cause of his stroke.

After one week of extensive tests it was discovered that Hosein had a series of complications. Tests revealed there has been an adenoma (benign tumour) in his lower left Parathyroid gland for possibly over 22 years where it has been producing excessive amounts of calcium, too much for his body to handle.

Since 1988 Hosein has been plagued with kidney stones which was thought to be the result of a kidney malfunction. He has had three surgical procedures on both kidneys, as well as three laser treatments to blast troublesome kidney stones. Hosein has also endured two major surgeries and a series of tests over a four-month period. H is now on the road to a full recovery, however he has mounting medical bills that need to be settled.
