Fete promoter’s brother shot dead

The 31-year-old brother of fete promoter Randy Glasgow died at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital yesterday, 15 minutes after being shot by a lone gunman. Reports revealed that around 1.15 pm, Casper Glasgow, alias Omawale Abdullah, an accountant at the Ministry of Works, was having a drink at Vivian’s Cafe at around 1.15 pm when a lone gunman walked up to him and fired three shots at point blank range. One of the shots struck him in the chest. Glasgow was rushed to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital where he died at around 1.30 pm. His murder is the 92nd for the year and police officers told Newsday that they are yet to establish a motive for the killing. Investigators say an arrest is imminent.
