Securicor van in smash-up

A Sangre Grande woman escaped serious injuries when the car she was driving collided with a Securicor van at Railway Road, Guaico yesterday. Reports revealed that around 2.15 pm, a Securicor van driven by Francis Belfour was travelling west along the Eastern Main Road with three passengers. On reaching Railway Road, a vehicle driven by Christine Villafana made a right turn into Railway Road and collided with the van.


Two children, who were in the back seat of the car, were shaken up over the incident but none of the occupants of the car suffered any injuries. The officers in the Securicor van telephoned their company for assistance in transporting the cash in the vehicle to various banks. WPC Glenda Goora and PCs Rajendra Ramdial, Sunil Gunness and Alexander John visited the scene. PC Ramdial is investigating.
