Laventille man shot in leg

A twenty-year-old man is nursing gunshot wounds after he was attacked on Friday night. According to reports, Franklyn Huggins of Laventille, was standing at the corner of Clover Street and Laventille Road at about 11.15 pm, when a masked man walked up to him and shot him in the leg.

Huggins’ attacker fled the scene on foot, leaving the wounded man bleeding on the ground. Passers-by rushed the injured man to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital, where emergency surgery was performed. He remains warded at the  hospital in a stable condition. PC Sean Hoyte of the Morvant police station is investigating.
