Jewelry bandit arrested hiding in car
A 19- year-old Cunupia bandit was caught hiding in a car shortly after he robbed a jewelry store at Grand Bazaar Mall, Uriah Butler Highway. Around 11.35 pm Sunday three men entered the Opnet International Limited, jewelry store located on the southern side of the mall. They pretended to be customers. They took the men to a car, owned by one of the men parked in the car park where they found another man 19, hiding on the back seat. All the jewelry was recovered. The three men from Cunupia were arrested and taken to the St Joseph police station where they were charged for larceny. Visiting the scene were Constables Ramjattan, Kingston and Penjulia.
