Manhunt on for rapist

Police officers have intensified their search for a 45-year-old Carapichaima man who allegedly raped a 16-year-old relative on Thursday. According to police sources, the accused reportedly raped the teenager at around 4 am on Thursday morning at her Mungal Trace, Orange Field Road, Carapichaima home. The teenager was subsequently taken to the Couva District Hospital where she was medically examined and confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted. WPC Garcia of the Freeport Police Station is investigating.
