No one stands bail for accused kidnappers of Saada

Three days after being granted $100,000 bail each, the four accused charged with kidnapping four-year-old Saada Singh remained in Remand Yard yesterday. This was confirmed by ACP Dennis Graham late yesterday who said up until 5 o’ clock yesterday no one had come forward to take bail for any of the accused. Among the four charged were Singh’s kindergarten teacher, Kimberly Moon-sammy, 22, of Jarvis Street in Vistabella. Moonsammy, her cousin Jonathan Moonsammy, 21, of Crawford Street in Vistabella, Coleen Osbourne, 22, of Pleasantville and Keston Franklyn, 25, of Vessigny, all appeared before acting Deputy Chief Magistrate Mark Wellington in the San Fernando First Court.

Defence attorneys Dexter Bailey, Keith Beckles and Rubert Frank appeared for the accused while assistant DPP Roger Gaspard appeared on behalf of the State. The four accused were charged with kidnapping Singh from her pre-school — Giselle’s Montessori — at Archibald Street in  Vistabella last Thursday. She was found wandering at Murray Trace in Siparia on Saturday. Singh is the daughter of businessman Sean Singh, proprietor of Compression and Power, at Maharaj Avenue in Marabella.
