Locked out Carib workers meet today
CARIB workers will be brought up-to-date this morning on the lock-out situation at their company. The meeting has been organised at the National Union of Government and Federated Workers (NUGFW), which represents the workers. President of the Carib Workers Section of NUGFW, Carl St Rose said “It is important that our members get information directly from the union.” Carib Glassworks Ltd and the Caribbean Development Company locked out nearly 900 workers on May 24. NUGFW placed an industrial relations offence charge against the company. The matter is now before the Industrial Court.
