President gets new Aide

PRESIDENT George Maxwell Richards has gotten a new aide-de-camp. He is Major Brian Paul of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment, who took over duties recently from Coast Guard Lt Commander Hiram Mohammed. Mohammed is now performing the duties of Comptroller of the Prime Minister’s residence in the absence of regular Compt-roller, Lt Colonel Sharon Alfonso. Alfonso is in England for seven weeks attending a military assignment at the Military Science College in Swindon. Alfonso has been the Comptroller at the PM’s residence for more than one year. Major Paul was not promoted to the rank of Lt Colonel in the last batch of officers who received their instruments of appointment on May 7. Paul was considered senior to several of the soldiers who moved up-wards.
