Cop shoots knife man

An out-patient of the St Ann’s Hospital is now resting in fair condition  at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital after being shot by a policeman. According to reports around 7.30 am yesterday police responded to a report of a man behaving in a disorderly manner on Queen Street, Arima. There they confronted the knife wielding man. They called on him to drop the weapon and he instead lunged at the officers beating four of them in the process.. The corporal in his defence drew his firearm and shot the man, 28, in his left leg.
