Air condition repairman beaten to death

MARLON Michael Telesford, a 34-year-old air condition repairman was beaten to death at his Mentor Alley, Laventille home sometime between Friday night and early yesterday. His CD player, television set and other electronic items which he purchased three weeks ago, were also stolen by the killer or killers. His murder is the 131st for the year. Reports revealed that Yulene Kirton, 40, the girlfriend of Telesford last saw him alive around 3 pm on Friday. Yesterday around 11 am, she checked at Telesford’s home and saw him lying on the floor with what appeared to be a massive wound to the back of the head.

The distraught woman alerted relatives and the Besson Street Police Station. A party of officers led by Ag Snr Supt Errol Denoon, Ag ASP Julie Carrington, Ag Inspector Sahadeo Singh, and including Sgt Mcintyre, Cpl Rowley, other homicide officers and District Medical Officer Dr Tom Pack  went to the scene. The area was cordoned off and a search for clues was carried out. A weeping Kirton told Sunday Newsday that Telesford worked hard and never troubled anyone. She expressed shock over his death and was outraged that a person’s life was snuffed out for material things. “Why did they have to kill him,” she cried out while being consoled by relatives at the scene. Police investigators interviewed several persons at the murder scene.
