Theme park planned for National Tourism Fair

A tourism park will be the feature at this year’s National Tourism Celebrations next month. It will be held at the Centre of Excellence from August 5 - 15, and will feature the nation’s festivals, eco-offerings, heritage, marine and wildlife. Six interactive areas, highlighting the country’s tourism and a food court, will also be featured. Theme of the park “Vacation at Home... Enjoy and Learn,” is expected to build national awareness. During the month, there will be radio quizzes and “know your country” tours. Entrance is $10 for adults — children under 12 are free. The celebration will be hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Tourism and Industrial Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago Ltd (TIDCO) along with local tourism industry stakeholders.
